This is a direct quote from a book I am reading called

"The Cross and the Switchblade" by David Wilkerson.

"And yet, lets's ask ourselves honestly: If it is true that the job of us humans here on earth is to do the will of God, can we not expect that in some way He will make that will known to us?"

I can't quit thinking about that quote. Maybe God is speaking to you today to do something that seems insane, ridiculous, risky to you. Pray about it. Ask for God's guidance.


Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Mark 6: 7-13

Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village. 7 Calling the Twelve to him, he sent them out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits.
8 These were his instructions: "Take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in your belts. 9 Wear sandals but not an extra tunic. 10Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you leave that town. 11 And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave, as a testimony against them."

12 They went out and preached that people should repent. 13 They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them


The point seems that they were obedient in following Jesus' advice and they were given authority over evil spirits and the gift of healing.

Maybe too many of us today hesitate to follow instructions when they seem risky or ridiculous. We chalk it up to following human wisdom and good judgement.

It's time to take that risk and listen to our Lord when he says

Romans 8:31

31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

First, I just want to say we have never, ever, never shown this child any video clips, photos, cartoons etc of any type Martial arts. Now tell me this boy wasn't born with this skill???? Watch for him at the championships, we will start kicking school this fall to further refine what God has birthed in him. So excited to see the special gifts of my children unfold, with my son, kick by beautiful kick!!

Seriously, now, why, I'm too young, who knew????

This weird sweating from the eyelids stuff was definitely NOT what she was talking about.

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.

I, as Mom, love love love this promise. I focus my eyes on my Savior and He will gently lead me. I don't have to be pulled by worldly expectations because my Savior's promise is that He will gently lead me.
