God worked out my golden ladybug......thank you Lord!

GOLDEN LADYBUG

So I know this is really a certain type of beetle that hides in my Morning Glory plants, but I am going to call him a Golden Ladybug. In China adoption lingo, finding a lady bug means good luck, I call luck "blessing" so I see this little guy as a reminder of all my blessings.

Need more lotion for those dry knuckles,

I love you Lord with all my heart and I thank you for being my Father. I thank you for being the King who loves me. I thank you for being active, real, awesome, hysterical, Holy, beautiful and attentive to me. I thank you for being so forgiving of me. With all my heart, I am completely sold out head over heels. I praise your Holy Name to the ends of my days. You are just precious to me and I am shocked, marveled and comforted by your presence and your presents. Your precious gift of your Son, your continuing faithfulness to me.......I love you.

New Camera

Great to have a new camera, now if I could do anything with it except...AUTO....

Maybe in a while I'll learn more, but these are basically point and shoot right out of the box and I think they are just awesome.

Much more powerful zoom than the old camera.

Loved the pic of the Mama Robin. This is her second set of babies this year. The first set was mostly eaten by a hawk...all except one baby. We kept all the cats on house arrest while her one baby got flying lessons on a Saturday in late June. We are so hoping that the hawks have moved on.....

Sometimes you can't see the stairs if your tutu is too fluffy!

Ever had a question from your child that you could not answer??????

Our six year old has begun to ask questions that I can't answer, some are funny, "why did God make our bottoms stink?", etc.....

This morning the child asked me........

"What if my mother from China calls on the phone and I can't understand what she is saying"

Heart-wrenching, impacting, sadness, hope, cultural identity, I won't take this personally, oh yes I might, I hope she calls, I wish she would call, I want to go find her, DNA, absolutely yes, I'm on my knees for her, please call, OUR DAUGHTER WANTS TO TALK TO YOU....

The reality of our adoption is I MISS HER MOTHER TOO, AND HER FATHER, AND MY OTHER CHILD'S MOTHER AND FATHER, AND MY OTHER CHILD'S MOTHER AND FATHER, I MISS THEIR HOMELANDS, I MISS THEIR CULTURE, THERE IS A HOLE IN MY HEART TOO!

Although the hole in my heart will never be as big as the hole in theirs......

I have a bunch of the most courageous people on the planet living right in my house.

Thank you Father!

LOA........

So many may think LOA means LEAVE OF ABSENCE, but in the adoption world LOA means Letter of Acceptance.....we got ours! Well actually the Fed Ex man will have it in his truck in about an hour. It is coming from Birmingham and will arrive tomorrow. We will send it back signed and we will be on our way to more paperwork. This time the paper work will be with the Immigration Dept of the good ole USA......

God works all things together for good and no matter what bridges we still have to cross before we hold this boy in our arms, I know that God will bring us to China when it is the perfect time.

So for today, we are celebrating that China has said yes, we are a good family for a boy destined to know Colossians 1:15-20

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross.

Waiting....

Our family is waiting on a piece of govt paperwork from the PRC to get this adoption train moving for our precious, almost three year old son.

We are on day 60 waiting for the piece of paperwork.

Chocolate, I need chocolate.........
