Why adoption? Why so many?
Even with this many children, there is still food thrown away every night, clothing is outgrown, barely used at all, brand new books donated to Goodwill, there are beds, sheets, blankets, toys, shoes and shoes and more shoes. There is a school bus that picks up all my kids at my driveway, our medical insurance is adequate, there is laughter, squealing, desert, field trips, and church. The kids can play circle games with a biiiigggg circle, which makes them so happy. There is the farting, burping, screaming contests, and don't forget the continuous stare off contests. There is discipline, forgiveness, humility, sharing, responsibilities, and loyalty learned. We worship together everyday.
Why adoption? For us, it was the first "jumping in" thing we had ever done. We had to trust God would expand our hearts to accept an adopted child. Having bio kids first, I didn't fully know what to expect to feel for an adopted child. But God knew just how that felt. He invented adoption. Because of Jesus.
"Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him."
Psalm 127:3

How could I have known that somewhere in China was a missing piece of our heart....or that missing piece would make us realize that hearts expand on demand!!!!!!!!!
Note those pics were taken only a few days apart. She was healed and sealed somewhere in the middle of China. Her ayi was there that day. Her ayi knew Jesus too!
